Introduction to Screenprinting
Come join Judy Stone-Nunneley-an artist and educator whose creative work encompasses printmaking, textiles, installation, and artist’s books, to learn the basics of screen-printing on fabric and experiment with a variety of methods to print layers and colors! Explore how to create simple hand-made stencils to make your own designs. We will review tools, fabrics, silkscreens, and inks so you can customize your materials to your own process. Judy has taught at the University of Minnesota College of Design and at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. The class fee includes a $120 kit fee. You will need to bring fabric to print on.

Judy Stone-Nunneley is an artist and educator whose creative work encompasses printmaking, textiles, installation, and artist’s books. She has taught printmaking workshops at the Textile Center of Minnesota, Split Rock Arts Colony, Ghost Ranch Retreat Center, and at regional and national art conferences. She was the Visual Arts Coordinator and Artist-in-Residence in Grand Prairie ISD where she worked with 50 art teachers to create curriculum, art programs, exhibitions and professional development. In addition to K-12 art teaching, she taught at the University of Minnesota College of Design and at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. The class will meet on Thursday through Saturday May 8th through 10th from 10-4 each day with a break for lunch. Feel free to bring a lunch or you can get lunch from nearby restaurants.
CANCELLATION and REFUND POLICY:
Classes fill up quickly so it is essential to PRE-REGISTER. If a cancellation is received at least SEVEN DAYS before the first day of class, a refund will be issued for the amount minus a 20% administration fee. Cancellations received fewer than SEVEN DAYS in advance will not be refunded for any reason, including illness. If a class is canceled by Stitchology, you will receive a full refund.
Some classes do require you to come to class with your project precut or that you work on "homework" between class sessions. We use the most size inclusive patterns we can. It is your responsibility to ensure the pattern will fit. If you do not fall within the size parameters for the pattern you will need to make arrangements with us to have your pattern altered before the day of class. Please understand, if you are not prepared we cannot guarantee you will be able to attend/or finish the class. If the teacher is unable to accommodate you, you will not be refunded the class fee. If you are allowed to attend class, you will not receive any additional instruction time. If you need help prepping for the class or finishing you may arrange for help prior to or after the class for an additional fee.
If your class requires any supplies they can be purchased at Stitchology and you will receive a 10% discount. **In store only**
